BLINK!!!!!!!!

Posted by admin on Aug 11, 2009 in Uncategorized

Watching some videos of my beloved band, blink 182, i came across some stuff from their night with jimmy kimmel. on specifically caught my attention-the feeling this video. first off, why would people even think that you’re the one singing on stage? now i understand that the brother is recording it, but whoever was recording should have kept their mouth shut. all through out the song i was thinking that mark and tom were having trouble harmonizing, which they rarely do. even if you’re singing in tune, keep your mouth shut because you’re trying to record someone else’s performance. if you want to record yourself singing, go home, put the camera on a tripod and record yourself. i understand your not a professional, God help us all if you were cause you’d make a mockery of videography. i might not be a videographer myself, but there are some common sense rules:

rule 1: if you’re recording, don’t make noise, don’t even answer a question.

rule 2: don’t forget any copyrights.

rule 3: use warnings if material contains such necessities.

i’m sure there’s more, but those are just the common sense ones.

as an added note, never underestimate the level of stupidity that people bring to the table. it’s one thing not to be able to retain that much information and this isn’t for you, i’m taking about those that try to do things without thinking. it’s also another thing to be a jackass [immature] you can be the most immature person, but have wisdom and knowledge of a couple of things. immaturity has to do with actions, wisdom and knowledge both work with a mental status. so immature people can also be underestimated, let’s try not to do that so much, understanding these facts.

to conclude this post, i just want to say that i wish i could have been to one of blink’s shows :-( . i know it must have been fun, but did they seem like they worked hard to sound like they did before angels and +44? any ways, we all waited for this to come pass and now it did so let’s just be content for once and stop complaining about the sound. that’s not why we go/went to see blink, we go/went to see blink because of the energy and the message of the songs, not because of the sound of the songs. take guns and roses for example, great rock band, one of the best sounds, but after a while people stopped going to shows because of axel’s hissy fits. so it doesn’t really matter about the sound, it’s better to have a high energy and have a sense of fun. when it comes to sound, that’s more for selling records, which doesn’t really happen now a days, but to really make money in the music world you have to tour and nobody will go to shows if you don’t have the charisma. i’m not saying that you have to suck or anything like that. you should know how to somewhat play, but when it comes to live shows, it’s better to get the fans into the songs as apposed to hear them say, “man they sound great”. so it’s great to have blink back!

until next time. laters!
