thanksgiving-is it happy or not so much?

Posted by admin on Nov 26, 2009 in Uncategorized |

what is thanksgiving? thanksgiving is also known as turkey day. why? well, on turkey day, everyone comes together with family, eats a whole bunch, gets fat, and perhaps even states what they’re grateful for.

would you like to know how it started? you might not be aware of this, but when the “white man” came to the americas when the native americans were not hard to find. well, the native americans taught the new comers how to grow crop and then they took over the land. so in a way, i take this as the new kids on the block playing a humble and welcoming people. i could be wrong about this part in history, but that’s how i interpret the sinario.

what does thanksgiving mean to me? well, in all honesty, i hate the holidays, specifically thanksgiving and christmas. it’s nothing religious, it’s just that something bad always happens and i can even guarantee it. as i stated yesterday that all this crap is being piled up again, so my statement is proven to be true in that sense. i don’t mean to burst your bubble, but the way i see it is that the holidays are SUPPOSE to be something special, but in reality it’s like a dog going to the vet.

i’m not saying i’m not grateful for anything, it’s just that i feel like the bad is starting to overweigh the good. i’m actually quite content with my life, it’s just that i wish i could pay off the point on my license some how. if it wasn’t for that, i probably wouldn’t sound so bitter, but as for the moment my heart has gone cold and my anxiety has come back.

anyways, enough of me moaning. i hope you guys have a great thanksgiving. laters!
